New shared ownership homes for Heswall
Liverpool Mutual Homes (LMH) has unveiled a brand-new development of shared ownership homes for Heswall.
Sandon Gardens is a stylish collection of 29 two and three-bedroom apartments, built to exceptional standards a short walk from the town centre and local amenities.
Each fully accessible and secure home benefits from high specification kitchens and bathrooms, as well as off street parking and landscaped grounds. The new development offers homebuyers an easier way to get onto the property ladder.
Alison McGovern MP (Wirral South) presided over the Grand Opening of Sandon Gardens on Friday. She noted how more people are now choosing to live in Merseyside and Wirral, reversing a historic trend to move away from the region, and mentioned the important role LMH is playing in the delivery of fantastic new homes, which enhance the housing offer for the area.
LMH Chief Executive Steve Coffey added, “I’m really proud to see our first Shared Ownership scheme on Wirral completed, bringing affordable luxury living within reach for local families. “Sandon Gardens is one of several LMH schemes being developed across the Liverpool City Region and forms part of our wider strategy to build over 350 homes every year until 2021.”
LMH’s first shared ownership development on Wirral has proven popular with first-time buyers, retired people and families. More than half the homes have already been reserved off plan.
With shared ownership, buyers purchase a share of the new home (between 25% and 75%) and pay a reduced rent on the remaining part until they are ready to own the property outright.
Sandon Gardens starts at £43,750 for a 25% share.
